To coincide with the international property show MIPIM 2014, British Land and Oxford Properties has released new images of The Leadenhall Building, in London, aka ‘The Cheesegrater’.
The pictures of the Square Mile’s tallest tower were taken by ‘helicopter photographer’ Jason Hawkes as the skyscraper approaches completion this summer.
The Leadenhall Building, which is located opposite Lloyd’s of London in the heart of the City of London, will comprise 56,671sqm of office space over 46 floors. It will also offer a managed events space and retail units, as well as a ground floor galleria.
The Leadenhall Building was designed by Graham Stirk, partner at architecture practice Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners. The building’s distinctive tapered profile has been designed to protect the sight line of St Paul’s Cathedral.
The building has been under construction since September 2011 and 85 per cent of the structure has been manufactured off-site.
